Rawinia Leatherby

Rawinia joined the Rautāpatu board in June 2026.

She has deep roots in community development and health promotion.

 

Her journey is guided by a deep love for te taiao and weaving together traditional rongoā practices, mahinga kai and a deep nourishment found in native environment to heal and uplift her hāpori.  

 

Rawinia loves championing grassroots, community – led projects and papakainga development because she knows that when our living spaces and environment thrive, our people flourish too.

Whether Rawinia is supporting community development initiatives, her purpose remains the same: empowering hāpori to reclaim their wellbeing.
